Our estate agency partner Ross gives his thoughts on buying and selling in 2023.
Well, where do we start? The most common questions we get asked are “What is the market doing?” and “Is this a good time to buy and sell?”
With spring now here, the property market traditionally follows a trend of pushing forward in a positive direction.
The gardens look greener following the winter months and the skies become clearer (at least, let’s hope). And let’s not forget the sunshine! These changes and time of year tend to bring more potential purchasers and sellers out of the winter slumber and onto the market with strong intentions of moving.
You will see no doubt see more properties coming to the market over the coming weeks for all types of moves, whether it be upsizing, downsizing or relocation to the wonderful countryside that our area has to offer.
With the market now appearing as steady as it has been over the last 6–9 months, the right home for you could be just around the corner.
Whilst the market – and especially prices – have certainly calmed this year, people still need roofs above their heads, so the property market is still moving. This is despite mortgage rate increases, cost of living crisis and political uncertainty.
Even when the market was absolutely at its peak, media outlets were predicting its imminent fall. In the ten years I have worked in property, this remains the only constant with the property market.
Judging by viewing enquiries, as well as an increase in property appraisals, I think we have now entered the ‘new normal’. The coming months are certainly something to look forward to if you are looking to move home.
And now for the cheesy part… give Graham & Co a call to book your free, no-obligation property valuation and SPRING into action!
